Video: MUSHROOM GARDEN: SEASONS for Android and iPhone: Gameplay and Review
My name’s Janel Torkington, I work with Appszoom, and I’m here to talk with you about mushrooms. Some of them are poisonous. Some of them are dangerous. Some of them will get you high. Some of them will make you DIE. On my plate today is Mushroom Garden: Seasons. I brought my knife and fork, just in case. Mushroom Garden Seasons from devs BeeworksGames is a bizarre little Japanese offering that’s DEFINITELY about fungi and NOT about anything phallic whatsoever. It’s one of those grow-shit-over-time games that doesn’t require a whole lot of input from you at any one time.
Set your garden growing by injecting it with the various foods at your disposal – some take just 15 minutes to bear fruit (er, fungus). Once the time’s up, see what toadstools have invaded your happy home, then pick ‘em to gain somewhat esoteric points that can be used towards purchasing things to grow more and weirder varieties. Oh sure, I could read the fascinating contents of the in-app Library to decipher what it means to have snowman points. But honestly, these games are better when you let them revel in their own ineffability.
