Video: How to recover your Login Details (Username, Password, and PIN)
This VX Gateway tutorial video will be covering how to recover or reset your login details if you are unable to log into your account. This video will also step you through resetting your PIN required to confirm transactions within VX Gateway. Before attempting to recover your login details, log into the email account you believe you used to register with VX Gateway, and add firstname.lastname@example.org as a contact, ensuring that important emails from VX Gateway will not end up in your spam folder. To begin the recovery process, visit vxgateway.
com, hover over login, select PERSONAL, and click on cannot login. Enter the e-mail your VX Gateway account was registered with, then enter the code displayed, and click submit. Depending on your account’s balance and level of verification, you will receive one of two e-mails from email@example.com. If your account balance is low, you’ll receive an e-mail containing your newly generated username, password, and PIN. The email may be in your spam folder, so remember to check there. Go back to vxgateway.com and login with your new login details, then visit My Profile and change your login details within the passwords and PIN tab to something more memorable. Enter the newly generated username, password, and PIN from the email, then enter the new username, password, and PIN you wish to use. Remember to record your new username, password, and PIN somewhere safe before you click submit, as the details will not be displayed after submitting the changes. When you click submit, the system will check if there is any further information required to be entered within general information. In this demonstration, the account is requiring that I create and answer my security questions before I can change my username, password, or PIN.
Remember to record the answers to your secret questions somewhere safe, as they will not be displayed after you click submit. Click submit, and your new username, password, and PIN will be saved, along with your new security questions. Now that you have completed your general information, we recommend you watch our ‘setting up your VX Gateway account’ video to activate and verify your account, to enable full VXLOOP e-wallet functionality. If you have previously created security questions for your account, the email you receive won’t contain newly generated login details. Instead you’ll be required to click a link directing you to answer your security questions. Simply, answer you security questions and click submit.
We recommend you reset your password, and PIN at the same time to avoid confusion in the future. Your username cannot be changed here, you only have the option to view your current username. Enter your new password, and re-enter it underneath to confirm. Then do the same for your new PIN you wish to use. Click submit, and your new password and PIN will be displayed. Your current username will also be displayed. Remember to record these details in a safe place. If you don’t provide the correct answers to your security questions, a notification will appear, prompting you to submit a contact us ticket. Click on the link within the notification, and you will be directed to a contact us ticket. Complete the form, remembering to double check the email and phone number you entered.
Click submit, and within 1 business day a VX Gateway customer service representative will respond to you via email. Look for an email from firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are not getting any emails from VX Gateway, then you will need to submit a contact us ticket, by clicking on ‘contact us’ at the bottom of our homepage. Include your email address you believe you registered with, along with your full name and best telephone number to contact you on. If you believe you were automatically registered through a payment using PAY with VX at a merchant website, then include the merchant’s name and website, along with any relevant purchase records. Click submit and a VX Gateway Customer Service representative will respond within 1 business day to the email address and phone number you submitted.
